The Serres Racing Circuit is the only track in the country, but also in the Balkans, which meets the construction specifications of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme for motorcycle and motorcycle races up to formula 3. It was built by the Municipality of Serres, in the sports park "Omonia" and has been operating since May 1998.
It is located southwest of the city of Serres, in an area of 1,000 acres. The total length of the track is 3,186 meters, while the width is 12-15 meters. The motorway covers an area of about 500 acres, while in the surrounding area there are municipal sports facilities, including football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and indoor gymnasiums. Also, in an adjacent specially designed area, there is a go-kart track, of European standards.
The Motorway attracts many visitors throughout the year. Especially for motorsports enthusiasts, as visitors-spectators or as riders in free training using the track, the place provides the best relevant experience in the Balkans. From time to time, in addition to racing activities, new model presentations, workshops, tests, and exhibitions are organized on the racetrack.
