OTE Tower

The revolving tower of Thessaloniki International Fair

A modern monument and newer symbol of the city, which rises through the area of the Thessaloniki International Fair and reaches a height of 72.4 meters. The revolving "OTE Tower" was a great construction achievement from the beginning of its operation, with the completion of the project designed by the architect Alexandros Anastasiadis, in 1970.

It was the first telecommunication tower in the country, but at the same time, it had a mechanism that rotates the 4th floor, giving its visitors a panoramic view as it turns, in full rotation for about an hour. It has a lift, as an alternative to the 166 internal stairs leading to the 4th floor.
