The Lanaras Factory building, also known as VETLANS (Vlachos Lanaras Industrial Factories), is located in Naoussa and stands as one of Greece’s most emblematic monuments of industrial heritage. Founded in 1908 by the affluent entrepreneur Evangelos Lanaras, it was one of the most significant textile mills in the country, playing a crucial role in the economic development of the region and providing employment to thousands of workers.
The VETLANS factory was a pioneer in its field, utilizing modern technologies and innovative production methods of the time. The architectural complex, with its imposing design, features the use of stone and brick, while its large spaces reflect the intense industrial activity it once housed. At its peak, the factory produced high-quality fabrics known both in Greece and abroad.
