«Invitation» Sculpture

In the "Sculpture Garden," the open-air sculpture museum on the revitalized waterfront of Thessaloniki, visitors can engage with several renowned contemporary artworks that have been installed. One of these is "Invitation" by Mark Hadjipateras, which was placed in 2018.

The sculpture, in black color, weighs 190 kgs without its base. It is crafted from bronze, with a minimalist approach, and it harmonizes with both the urban landscape and the Thermaic Gulf, serving as a link between the city and the water and as an extension of the beachside promenade.
