Karydi Beach

Karydi Beach, in the creek that creates a sea pool on the "balcony" of Vourvourou towards Mount Athos, is the most famous of the many beaches in the area. Bounded at the ends by white rocks, it stretches to hundreds of meters of golden sand, creating a magical spectacle reminiscent of a beach of an exotic place.

Emerald, crystal clear shallow waters make the spot ideal for children, as the quaint lagoon is protected from wind and waves. The sandy, soft bottom of the sea offers hours of relaxation for swimmers, adventurous rocks at the exit to the Gulf of Mount Athos for exploration, and gaze at the blue of the lush mountain range. The beach is unorganized, with small canteens that provide the basics, so visitors can enjoy it freely with the relevant equipment.
