Asprovalta Beach

The vast beach in Strymonian Gulf

One of the largest beaches in Northern Greece, with kilometers of wide sandy coastline in front of the settlement of Asprovalta. It is located between Kavala and Thessaloniki, on the shores of the Strymonian Gulf, an extension of the coasts of Halkidiki. Spacious and comfortable, it can accommodate large numbers of visitors without feeling overcrowded and is the main reason for the area's tourism development. It has been awarded the Blue Flag, both for the quality of its crystal-clear and shallow waters and for its facilities, including beach bars, refreshment stands, sun loungers, showers, umbrellas, and restrooms.

The Asprovalta beach is surrounded by three mountainous masses, giving it a distinct sense of seclusion. It is easily accessible, stretching in front of the settlement, which offers numerous restaurants and fish taverns serving fresh fish from the Strymonian Gulf. It is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and playing, with several organized sections and large areas for free bathing. As a tourist resort, Asprovalta has various hotels and rental rooms, making it a very popular holiday destination.
