A unique combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage

Mount Vermio, one of the most impressive mountains in Greece, dominates the region of Macedonia, offering unique experiences for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts.

At its foothills lie the cities of Veria and Naousa, while the mountain itself rises over 2,000 meters, boasting rich vegetation and breathtaking views. With more than 70 kilometers of marked trails, Vermio is an ideal destination for hiking, mountaineering, and mountain biking. Popular routes, such as the Selia Gorge and the forest path connecting Selia with the 3-5 Pigadia ski resort, attract walkers throughout the year.

On its lush slopes, traditional villages like Koumaria, Xerolivado, and Kato Vermio (Selia) in the Municipality of Veria, as well as Ano Selia, Arkochori, and Rodochori in the Municipality of Naousa, can be found. Visitors can explore these picturesque villages, enjoy warm hospitality in traditional guesthouses, and take part in numerous cultural events held throughout the year.

Vermio is a well-rounded destination that combines natural beauty with cultural heritage. During the winter months, two well-organized ski resorts attract many skiers, offering excellent conditions for winter sports. In spring and summer, the landscape transforms into a lush green paradise, perfect for nature observation, picnics, and outdoor activities. The mountain also hosts rich flora and fauna, making it a valuable destination for nature enthusiasts.
