Ottoman Bath of Sheikh Effendi Seit

The Ottoman bath is in the center of Kilkis, at the junction of Thessaloniki and Panagiotou streets are one of the few surviving Ottoman buildings in the city. It is a preserved monument of Ottoman architecture, which was in operation until the 1960s, as the public bath was quite popular with the inhabitants of the city and especially with the refugees who came to Kilkis in the 1920s.

With its characteristic dome and the relatively small area (approximately 90 sq.m.), it had five rooms, while octagonal openings offered light. The bath has the characteristics of the Byzantine and Ottoman public baths, but the absence of an inscription does not allow the exact date of its construction. Access to the view of the building is easy, as it is isolated from the surrounding building.
