Bust of Alexandros Delmouzos

Dedicated to the distinguished educator

The bust of Alexandros Delmouzos, one of Greece's most important educators and a key figure in the educational demoticism movement, is located in Thessaloniki at the intersection of Filippou, Agia Sofia, and Delmouzos streets.

This bronze bust, created by sculptor Efthymios Kalevras, was placed outside the Experimental School of Thessaloniki, which strongly reflects the innovative ideas Delmouzos introduced to Greek education.

The bust of Delmouzos stands opposite that of Miltos Kountouras, honoring two significant figures in Greek pedagogy. Its location in the city center, next to a school with a long tradition of educational reform, highlights the importance of Delmouzos' work and his contribution to the development of education in Greece.
