Klimataria Beach
Klimataria Beach
The top family beach in southern Sithonia
If there was a definition for a "family beach," Klimataria would be one of the best and most beautiful representatives in the southern tip of Sithonia, near Sykia. Relatively unknown until a few years ago, it has become very popular recently as it combines everything a family with small children seeks: a shallow coastline that extends for many meters (you can walk and still not be able to dive), crystal-clear Aegean waters that enter the Gulf of Mount Athos, almost fully organized throughout its extent, fine golden sand on the wide beach and its seabed, protection from winds and waves due to its morphology.
The surrounding taverns offer several dining options after a day at the beach, while beach bars provide everything visitors need, from drinks to street food. Access is easy from the coastal road south of Sykia, between Kriaritsi and Kalamitsi. The small bay that forms Klimataria Beach is surrounded by dense vegetation, spreading its azure-green waters among rocky formations, giving the impression of a vast, natural pool with a view of the Aegean horizon.
