Known for their healing properties since Roman times
One of the most famous hydrotherapy baths in Greece is located five kilometres from the town of Nigrita, in the settlement of Therma.
Known for its healing properties since Roman times, the water of the mineral springs of Nigrita is excellent for the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, for skin and gynaecological diseases and especially for diseases of the gastrointestinal system and chronic rheumatism. Its temperature is 55,8 degrees Celsius.
The hydrotherapy centre currently operates on an area of 12 hectares, with a hotel, restaurant, clinic and complete bathing facilities. It is about 22 km from the town of Serres and 86 km from the centre of Thessaloniki.
