The cultural panorama of the city
At the foot of the green hill of Saint Georgios which rises on the north side of Kilkis, is the Open Theater of the city. It has been operating since 1989 and annually hosts many plays, concerts, and festivals, such as the important International Puppet-Mime Festival.
The surrounding area, with the Monastery at the top and the hiking trail that crosses it to a height of 369 meters, offers a wonderful view of the city. The ancient Lofos Theater has a capacity of 3,000, is easily accessible, and is famous for its very good acoustics.
