The bust of Georgios Olympios, created by sculptor Efthymios Kalevras, depicts the hero of the Greek War of Independence with a stern and dignified expression, dressed in traditional Greek attire, including a shirt and vest. The bronze sculpture was installed in 1993 on a marble base, which adds to the grandeur of the piece.
The bust is located in the park across from YMCA, at the corner of Tsimiski and Angelaki Streets. This area is also home to several other busts and statues, many of which were also crafted by Efthymios Kalevras, honoring heroes of the 1821 Revolution. The presence of Georgios Olympios in this location serves as a tribute to his heroic deeds and contribution to Greek history.
