Trani Ammouda Beach

One of the largest sandy expanses in Halkidiki

As its name suggests, Trani Ammouda is a beach with a large expanse, making it one of the largest sandy shores in Halkidiki. It is located near Agios Nikolaos, on the eastern coast of Sithonia, one kilometer from Ormos Panagias, from where boats depart for the Mount Athos cruise. It is easily accessible from the provincial road and stretches along an idyllic cove with turquoise, crystal-clear waters that are awarded the Blue Flag.

The beach has coarse sand, and the seabed is also sandy, with shallow waters that gradually deepen. It is preferred by families with children due to the low water level and the ample space it offers for comfort and play. There are also well-organized areas with umbrellas, sunbeds, and beach bars. Furthermore, the surrounding area has several dining and accommodation facilities, making Trani Ammouda and its beaches popular holiday destinations.

At the cape that marks the length of the beach, there are ruins of a Byzantine tower, while vegetation, mainly consisting of pine trees, surrounds the entire area, enhancing the visual experience.
