Kriaritsi Beach
Kriaritsi Beach
The demanding route that rewards with the most beautiful beach
One of the most beautiful beaches not only in Halkidiki but in all of Greece, and also one of the most challenging to access, requiring patience and concentration. Kriaritsi unfolds a mesmerizing, cinematic landscape of exotic beauty for those who choose to visit, compensating for the difficulty of the journey with a plethora of colors, morphological combinations, and views across the Athos peninsula at the southern tip of Sithonia.
Driving through the intricate paths of the so-called "ghost town" towards the beach, the initial images serve as give you a hint for what is to come, but nothing can prepare you for what you see upon arrival. There are 800 meters of sandy beach, divided into small bays, with crystal-clear waters that change in shades of blue depending on the light and your point of view. There are beach bars and camping areas with organized sections, nearby rocky islets for daring dives and exploration, shallow areas for playing and leisurely walks, as well as deeper spots for satisfying swimming.
You can find Kriaritsi by driving south from Sykia, always keeping an eye on the signs. No matter how challenging it may be the first time, you will be rewarded with one of the most enchanting places in Halkidiki. Make sure to have your mobile phone charged for the countless photos you’ll be taking.
