Gerakini Beach
Gerakini Beach
The vast coastline between Kassandra and Sithonia
Located in the center of the Toroneos Gulf, between Kassandra and Sithonia, Gerakini is built in front of a sandy beach that stretches over five kilometers. This large, wide beach with fine sand and crystal-clear waters is awarded the Blue Flag every summer and attracts a large number of visitors during the summer months.
The settlement itself, which is fully developed with strong hotel infrastructure, as well as its location, which offers the opportunity for excursions to both "legs" (Kassandra and Sithonia), have made Gerakini a highly popular tourist destination.
The beach is vast and well-organized, with beach bars, umbrellas, sun loungers, toilets, and changing rooms. It has easy access and facilities for people with disabilities. Here, visitors can enjoy swimming and playing in the shallow waters, which are a magnet for family vacations, engage in water sports, and admire the view of the peninsula surrounding the village. In addition to the beach, the settlement is full of taverns offering fresh fish from the Toroneos Gulf, as well as various shops.
