Ouranoupoli Beach
Ouranoupoli Beach
Kilometers with Blue Flag awarded beaches on both sides of the iconic tower
With its imposing Byzantine tower as its symbol, Ouranoupoli is the last stop before the monastic state of Mount Athos, the port for excursions to Athos, the Drenia islets, and Ammouliani, as well as a very interesting tourist resort with over five kilometers of beach stretching to Trypiti.
The coastline in front of the village is characterized by its organization, providing all possible amenities for visitors. The beach is sandy, so is the seabed, which has a gentle slope and is shallow in its first meters. Approximately in the middle, there is a jetty from which caiques depart and arrive towards the islets and other points of the peninsula.
Both the beaches of the settlement and those towards Trypiti are awarded the Blue Flag every year for their excellent water quality and facilities. Taverns offering fresh fish and seafood, bars for coffee, refreshments, and quick snacks, as well as shops with various necessities, complete the surrounding landscape of a place with special beauty that will not be easy to leave , no matter how enticing the nearby destinations may be.
