Kalamitsi Beach

The "exotic" beach with the islet for diving and snorkeling

The secluded bay that forms Kalamitsi Beach, along with the other two small coves that follow, offers one of the most enjoyable landscapes to experience your swim in Sithonia. Traveling from Sykia towards the southern tip of the second leg, Kalamitsi is located after Klimataria Beach and takes the visitor's breath away at first sight: a turquoise sea surrounding a wide, vast sandy beach, stretching from one end to the other.

The distinctive feature of Kalamitsi is none other than the small islet a few meters from the shore, which swimmers use, especially those who enjoy diving or snorkeling, to explore both its submerged part, which exhibits various formations around the rocks, and the tiny island it forms. Access is very easy, requiring only a few meters of swimming.

The beach is well-organized with a beach bar, umbrellas, sunbeds, and all the necessary amenities, including options for water sports and other activities, with large free areas. Its width is advantageous as it accommodates numerous visitors, providing space for everyone. In the adjacent cove, there is the famous camping site with the same name.
