Pefkochori

A true holiday landscape

Pefkochori is located last in the series of seaside settlements in eastern Kassandra, on the coastal road after the canal of Nea Potidea. It is a large village, with a permanent population of about 2,000 residents, built next to the sea.

Although it accommodates many visitors and is the "heart" of Halkidiki's summer during the summer months, it largely maintains its traditional character. Taking a stroll through the village is delightful, with well-preserved houses and courtyards dominated by lemon and jasmine trees, as well as the paths in the pine forest that surrounds the settlement, which gave it its name.

Even more beautiful is the evening walk along the pedestrianized coastal road next to the beach. Pefkochori Beach is a true "gem," with a permanent Blue Flag, crystal-clear waters, and a huge sandy shoreline with narrow and wide spots, making it one of the most beautiful in Halkidiki. It is surrounded by hotels and rental rooms, dining establishments offering fresh seafood and local dishes, while the village gives the impression of a bustling city during the summer, with activities that never cease around the clock. Nearby, you can find the beaches of Glarokavos and Chrousso, among the most photographed and beloved in the area, which you may also come across as "Kapsochora," its old name.
