
The Development Company of Regional Unit of Imathia S.A., as part of the implementation of the Transnational Cooperation Project "LOCAL TOUR," is organizing the event "WE EAT… LOCAL."
The goal of this event is to highlight local gastronomy and the authentic products of our region through an immersive culinary experience, accessible to professionals in the food, hospitality, and tourism sectors, as well as the general public.
During the event, a selection of dishes will be prepared and offered to participants by Chef Dimitris Mantsios, using locally sourced ingredients. These include:
Sourdough bread with xinotyri cheese and sun-dried tomatoes
Meatballs with brine cheese
Petaroudia (traditional fritters) with P.D.O. Batsos cream cheese
Veal carré with Xinomavro wine
Vegan orzo with vegetables
Caramelized filo pastry with pastry cream and diced peach compote
Special care has been taken for our young guests, with a dedicated children’s menu also made from local ingredients.
The event will take place at Alsilio in Sarantovryses on Sunday, March 23, at 13:00, following a cycling and hiking tour among the blooming peach trees, organized by Tourism Club of Veria.
Admission is free for everyone.
