Folklore Museum "Gerakina" Nigrita

In the area "Tsakalades", near the well of "Gerakina", is the Folklore Museum "Gerakina", which was inaugurated in 2001. The museum is a valuable place for the promotion of the local cultural heritage and offers visitors the opportunity to get to know the traditions and history of Nigrita.

Inside the museum there are various exhibits, such as traditional costumes, agricultural tools, utensils of daily use and rich photographic material depicting the life and habits of the inhabitants of the area. The exhibits are of particular value as they come exclusively from donations from the people of Nigrita, demonstrating the dedication of the local community to the preservation of their cultural heritage.
