Loutra Beach (Agia Paraskevi)
Loutra Beach (Agia Paraskevi)
Next to the cliffs where warm, thermal water springs
Every beach has a feature that makes it stand out, but something truly unique happens at Loutra in Agia Paraskevi: The warm water from the thermal springs discovered in the mountainous settlement reaches the coast and flows into the sea, following its course over the cliffs at a temperature of 39 degrees Celsius. Apart from the fascinating journey of the warm water, which is noticeable to visitors, the point where it meets the crystal clear waters of the Aegean is warm, even in winter.
The small, relatively, beach of Agia Paraskevi in the coastal settlement known as "Loutra" is awarded the Blue Flag for its excellent quality of seawater and its facilities. It is covered with sand and quite organized with a beach bar, sunbeds, umbrellas, but also with many free areas. It offers a unique experience to its visitors, beyond the beautiful coastline, where the waters are shallow in the first meters.
A visit to the seaside cave is considered essential, where you can admire the combination of warm water with the seawater, transforming the rocks into sculptures, while diving enthusiasts will enjoy the surrounding area, which is ideal for exploration, as well as other caves that are accessible only by sea.
