Dedicated to the politician and former Prime Minister of Greece
The statue of Andreas Papandreou, made of bronze, depicts the former Prime Minister of Greece in a characteristic pose with his hands open and raised, as he often did at election rallies.
The work is located on Ethnikis Antistaseos Street, a busy road that connects Thessaloniki with the airport and other important areas. The statue was installed in 2001, as a donation from the PASOK Prefectural Committee of Thessaloniki, and is the work of sculptor Ioannis Bardi.
