Located 16 kilometers southwest of Nigrita, at an altitude of 560 meters, the refuge was inaugurated in 2000 and named after Georgios Totas, who played a pivotal role in its construction.

Inside, the refuge includes a lounge with a fireplace, a kitchen, and restrooms, with accommodation for up to 25 people on the upper floor. The surrounding area offers trails of varying difficulty, suitable for both novice and experienced hikers. The refuge is a welcoming destination for all lovers of mountaineering and nature.
